News Article: Simon and Filbert Wrap up their scenes for SANDCASTLE

Extra! Extra! Simon and Filbert finish up their scenes for SANDCASTLE!!

Reporter: My oh my we are only a few weeks away from the premiere of Sandcastle the next animation hit from Lauren_Animations. I heard through the grapevine that Simon Jones and Filbert Smith will be making a cameo appearance for the upcoming short. And I have them right here. How was that possible?

Simon: Anything is possible with the power of animation. But in reality we’ve been kind of dormant for the last few years so I was surprised we got the call to do the cameo. I mean it’s fitting after all.

Reporter: So what was it like filming on set. How much screen time did you actually get.

Simon: Uh the set was very interesting we unfortuantely had a few hiccups along the way.

Reporter: A few hiccups? Oo tell us! Tell us!

Simon: (turns to Filbert) we didn’t sign an NDA did we? (Filbert shakes head no.) Well there was a bit of camera issues so one scene might be a little awkward.

Reporter: Oo what else! What else!

Simon: We had a scene where I had to grab a piece of paper and it was a weirdly awkward situation. We did about two takes but I think it turned out alright.

Report: So last question: do you think that there will be a comeback of Billy and Willy?

Filbert: Funny enough our cast was considered for this production but the original script was a bit to lengthy.

Simon: And by the time the casting was done and the first few scenes were completed the director said oh yeah this could have been a Billy&Willy script just remove Charles and Brody and-

Charles: HEY! You can remove Brody but you can’t remove me. After all I was the one who got the studio back on the map.

Ricky: No it was actually me.

Charles: with your sub par votes. Even without other animations it’s still ranked number one.

Reporter: Okay, okay guys break it up. And that’s all the time we have for. Tune in next time for more Lauren_Animations updates!!

News Article: Barbra Flemming Completes Scenes for Sandcastle

Extra! Extra! Barbra Flemming Finishes Scenes for Upcoming Release

Metropolis city is a buzz at the latest installment of Lauren_Animation's upcoming short: Sandcastle. Rumors have speculated which characters are returning and who the new characters are. Fans were shocked when they learned that the receptionist from Bean and Scooter: Deal of Destruction was going to reprise her roll as well a receptionist. Our ace reporter Dana White has got the latest scoop. Let's sit down with Barbra Flemming as she talks about the details of the set of Sandcastle.

Reporter: So Barbra how did you get the roll of the receponist again?

Barbra: Well I was surprised to get the roll myself. I was minding my own business working at Industrial Park like always when the casting agent from Lauren_Animations called me. I was so shocked. That studio has had it's up and downs since the pandmenic I was very surprised when she released a new episode last month.

Reporter: We all were. We all were. So how much screen time did you have this time around? I mean the last time we saw you, you had turned into a monster!

Barbra: Well to be quite honest I only had two scenes. But so far my scene is the longest in the series so far! They had to extend our working hours so that we can fit in more detail.

Reporter: Oh extend your working hours? What were you originally supposed to work?

Barba: Originally I was supposed to work the typical 9-5 like everyone else but there may have been a mishap.

Reporter: Oh what type of mishap?

Barbra: Well we were filming in an older part of Megacorp and there as a lot of dust and dust got in my eye. You may see some dust go in my eye in one scene and it got a little wonky.

Reporter: Did you get chastised for that?

Barbra: A little bit. But I am hoping that I end up in the great opening.

Reporter: Oh great opening what's that?

Barbra: So you know how popsicle didn't have an introduction portion?

Reporter: (nods)

Barba: Our wonderful CEO has finally come up with an awesome introduction I heard that Virtural Dreams is singing the theme song and recording as we speak.

Reporter: But what's so special about this new introduction?

Barbra: Well all the characters from the animation series will join together in front of the animation studio that's all I know. But I have a small feeling that only the MAIN characters will be in it and not me. (Cries).

Report: Okay there, there. Last two questions what's your favorite scene and least favorite scene?

Barba: My favorite scene so far is when-(bleeeeeeeeeppp)

Report: Oh that's all the time we've got today. Back to you Lauren_Animations.

That was some type of interview was it? Lol I had this idea for an interview while I was working today. And yes, I do plan on having that introduction for this upcoming episode. It will only feature characters from the shorts and not characters from serials unless they get a short themselves. I anticipate this episode coming out in the next two weeks. But unfortunately after that I have to go back to my full time job so expect episodes every one to two months. I can't wait to talk to you all gain soon!

Whose that Receptionist? (Sandcastle)

Whose that Receptionist? Reintroducing: Barbra Fleming

So I was working on Sandcastle this morning and I was able to reuse an old character. I have a tendency to do that a lot like the police officers from Red and Blue or Glinda Gildwater from away back to the first episode of Bean and Scooter and Dana Knows it all. This time I am pulling out a receptionist I made for Bean and Scooter: The Deal of Destruction her name is Barbra Fleming.

Popsicle: The Interview

 Popsicle: The Interview

Metropolis City despite being the night time is in full anticipation for the arrival of its very first show after being shut down due to the COVID pandemic nearly four years  ago. A line is seen out the door as people try to get into the free studio viewing. The stage is wooden based with dark purple velvet curtains and a shiny 100 inch screen tv decorates the central wall. Glinda Guildwater steps out onto the central stage dressed in a black silky sparkly dress with a microphone in hand.

Glinda: Welcome ladies and gentlemen the very first show after the show. My oh my I can’t believe that our studio is back in production ladies and gentlemen and our first one is kind of a bit of a let down not going to lie. Seriously popsicle. Anyway without further ado let’s welcome the star of the show Ricky to the set.

(Music-Rocky appears)

Ricky: Hello my wonderful fans. (Crickets sits down)

Glinda: welcome to the after, after show Ricky. Although I already heard through the grapevine that our wonderful production team is already starting on the next episode.

Ricky: thank you for having me Glinda.

Glinda: so Ricky how was it that you were casted for another Lauren Animations short you do look awfully familiar.

Ricky: oh yeah you may have seen my first appearance in Boxed in which was a few years ago. Same outfit and everything. But as to how I got casted I did what I did last time. I showed up and got the job.

(Crowd laughs)

Glinda: You had to film at Newquark beach was it crowded? What was the weather like?

Ricky: I’m not from Newquark I’m from Metropolis and I am not used to sand. And when I say sand got everywhere sand got in places sand shouldn’t be.

Glinda: um kinda didn’t answer my question. Okay, okay so what was your favorite scene to play?

Ricky: hmm my favorite scene had to be at the end when I ate the popsicle. We had to do so many takes that I got to eat a whole bunch of Superman popsicles I thought my insides where going to turn red white and blue. But I have to say I wasn’t prepared to film some scenes.

Glinda: oh like what do tell?

Ricky: for starters I had to do a lot of running. Like the scene with the cops that was like fifty takes apparently I didn’t look tired enough. And that breakdancing scene that was awesome but I did actually sprain my knee jumping up and down like that.

Glinda: I have to ask Ricky where those actual rocks in the lemonade?

Ricky: actual rocks? Heck no! That was actually some chocolates covered in grey fondant and that guys teeth were false teeth.

Glinda: any other inside details I should know?

Ricky: hmm not really everything else was standard procedure we filmed in about a months time.

Glinda: is that why the production quality was so cheap?

Ricky: hey

Glinda: that’s all the time we have left folks i can’t wait to see you next time for the after, after show!

Production Update: Sandcastle

 Production Update: Sandcastle

I know that we just had our first animation of this year be released but I am happy to announce the story board for the next animation prompt has been completed and approved. And man I will tell you it was difficult for this one for some reason. I originally wanted this to be a Billy and Willy episode and I was half way through when I realized two things: (1) it was too lengthy and (2) too much dialogue. The goal with these shorts is to make them well short. Don’t worry Billy and Willy will be gracing your screens once again but unfortunately not this time around. Instead I have introduced three new characters into our growing world: Chaz, Mikayla, and Brody yes Brody along with a new creature the golem which will be based around the golem from dragon quest. With that being said because this is a full release video that means it will take a while for it to be released but I know for certain it will be sometime in August. The story board is shorter but a bit more complex than Popsicle. Stay tuned for more updates here on my blog. See you next weekend!

Welcome Back to the Blog!

Production Update #1

Hello, I know it has been a super long time since I last posted on this blog but I am happy to announce that I am back for good.I also know I took I hiatus on animating but I’ve tried again and again to come back. I realized quickly that I do not like to do long form animations (20-30 minute episodes) because I don’t like to focus on one story at a time for months on end. Instead I like quick animations (5-10 minutes) that I can produce in one to two weeks. Even though it will be more videos the quality of the animations will not be down graded at all. I still take my time to flesh out my stories and that the quality is at my usual. With that being said expect a new animation once or twice a month featuring either new characters or old characters. You should see faces like Billy and Willy, Dana, and even Bean and Scooter! Of course as always there will be new faces as well like Ricky from Popsicle. Also on this blog I will be posting “after the show interviews” featuring our favorite 7 Action News Host Glinda Guildwater. And something else exciting: the return of Can You Survive? sadly only in written form. I am very excited to return to the world of animation! See you soon!

The Revival of L-Animations

 The Revival of L-Animations

Hello everyone and I know its been 1,2, 3 years! Since I have posted on this blog and about 6 months since I last made a cartoon. Life has been pretty hectic but I want to get back into animating as well as having a full time job. I don't know if I am going to be successful or not but I plan on posting every Saturday on this blog! I also plan on going back to my twitch streams as well. I am currently in the pre-production stages of my latest animation. I do not have a title or plot lol but I am about to sit down and write the story. I plan to start releasing episodes in January and in my similar format: serial episodes and then a final FULL episode released the day after the finally. I also plan on posting more information here because I do not want to pay for a website and blogspot is easy and free. I look forward to working on this next animation with you all and I hope I can stick it out! I hope to see you all on my next twitch stream OR on my Friday post! Bye for now!
